Family Support Services LLC was established in 2001 and is a trusted provider in North Alabama with locations in Decatur, Huntsville, Cullman and Blountsville. Parenting is hard work and children don't come with instructions! As a parent we often worry about our children's well-being. Sometimes we don't know where to turn or what to do next. You may start to feel like you've tried everything with no results. I, and my licensed associate therapists, specialize in these and other issues. We utilize individualized evidence-based interventions such as Play Therapy, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), TF-CBT and CBT.
Our office specializes in interventions to help children manage their behaviors and learn self-control, overcome trauma, express feelings more appropriately, make better choices, and bond to adoptive/foster parents. I am a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and a Certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapist-Trainer (PCIT).
In addition to offering treatment, we provide assessments so you can understand more about what is going on with your child. Assessments can assist in identifying ADHD, behavioral diagnoses, Anxiety and Depression among other things. We have offices in Decatur, Huntsville, Cullman, and Blountsville Alabama.
