The scope of my therapy practice is based on the belief that children are growing, developing individuals who at times need assistance beyond their families and school structures to develop emotional and social skills, self confidence, and coping skills to handle stressors. Children are often more open than adults to change and I absolutely love getting to see them transform and grow. I work with children and adolescents ages 4 to 18.

I have successfully helped children, teens, adults and families who have endured traumatic experiences, behavioral/anger issues or school/job issues. I also have helped individuals currently experiencing emotional pain such as anxiety/depression, hopelessness, self harming behaviors. It is my belief that people have the innate potential to free themselves of emotional difficulties. My goal is to provide the necessary tools and teach skills needed to overcome emotional difficulties and develop meaningful relationships with family and friends.

I believe the bravest thing we can do is embrace our true authentic self. Unfortunately, most of us have difficulty pushing through the negative messages that scream "YOU ARE NO BETTER THAN YOUR WORST CHOICE." We get stuck in our current experience as we wrestle with our fears, difficulty in our relationships and facing the grief of loss, convincing ourselves we do not deserve anything better than we can see right in front of us. I have a passion to help others find their authentic self and explore the barriers that may hinder them from expressing the powerful version of themselves that they long to embrace.

I have prior experience as a therapist as an addiction counselor, child and family therapist, as well as those in the inpatient psychiatric setting. She obtained a bachelors degree in Psychology from William Carey University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her office is in downtown Gulfport where she uses a unique and individually tailored blend of cognitive behavioral and client-centered therapy to provide therapeutic services to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
