I came into the field of therapy because I have always been curious to how and what makes a relationship (romantic, friendship, or family) healthy and successful. Throughout my professional career I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families. It’s been a joy for me to empower my clients to develop and become more aware of their triggers, needs, and wants. In every client interaction, I learn the things that you need help with and we work together to put your story together in a meaningful way.

The Midwest Asian Health Association's Community Mental Health Clinic (CMHC) was established in 2015 with the vision to provide linguistically appropriate, culturally sensitive, and financially affordable mental health services to underserved Asian American & Pacific Islander, Asian immigrants, and other low-income minority populations in the Midwest. The counselors and staff at the CMHC are dedicated to creating community in which all people, regardless of language or ability to pay, will be able to access mental health services to improve their mental, emotional, and physical well-being.

As a first generation immigrant, I recognize the unique experience individuals face in life. I am passionate about delivering quality care and service to my clients. I hopes to provide support to anyone who is going through a confusing phase or hardship. I specialize in working young adults, adults, older adults and families dealing with complex trauma, family dynamics, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, stress, phase-of-life changes, grief and loss, as well as children with ADHD and autism.

As a mental health clinician, my goal is to help my clients explore themselves to make the changes in their lives that will allow them to have a happier future by their own definition. I believe that we all need someone to talk with - who will really listen and accept us as we are, without judgment. I provide my clients with a warm, nonjudgmental environment -a safe place to explore the issues that you want to discuss with me. I was trained as a plastic surgeon in China for 9 years. I also speak Mandarin and provide bilingual counseling services to my clients.
