In the field for 25+ years, I am licensed both as a Clinical Social Worker and a Drug and Alcohol Counselor with post-graduate training in Marriage and Family Therapy. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, I am flexible and work with persons seeking abstinence as well as those working toward harm reduction. Certified as a School Social Worker to work with children with special needs, I can assist in navigating the Educational System and can collaborate with family and school around issues impacting performance or socialization with peer.
My specializations include mental health, substance abuse, trauma, and GLBT related issues. For persons with legal entanglements, I can work with your attorney in provision of Substance Abuse Education, Anger Management, or Parenting. Kevin, the always adorable emotional support cat, is available for purrs upon request.
In this time of Corona Virus, I have adapted my practice to provide safety, privacy, and accessibility through Tele-health options such as Doxy.me and Face time in addition to audio only phone calls. Outside office seating will be more available as the weather improves. We are all working together during these challenging times.
