Is it hard for you to say no? Is it hard to answer the question “Who am I?” Sometimes it’s so easy to be there for others, and difficult to be there for yourself. If you are in a pattern of empowering others but feeling burned out, you’re not alone and there is hope. There is a way for you to thrive, avoid burnout, and create connections while still being there for yourself. I have seen this transformation happen with my clients, and I would love to talk with you about what is possible.“
There are many "fast fix" forms of therapy out there. These approaches promise change through gimmicks that may offer short term relief, but don't get at the root of our troubles. During my internship and graduate work, I studied and learned to practice from a contemporary or relational psychoanalytic approach. What does this mean?
A relational psychoanalytic therapy is deeply focused on helping a patient uncover the often unconscious patterns of relating to themselves and others in the context of the relationship with the therapist. Sometimes this can involve insight into the past, but it is actually a uniquely present, "here and now" focused form of therapy.
