I have extensive training & experience with treating depression, anxiety, stress, death, grief, loss, co-dependency, self sabotage, life transitions, healing from trauma, exploring mind/body connections, improving your relationship with yourself & others.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience working with all ages but specifically have a passion for working with adolescents and adults. I love to work with these populations to heal from past hurts and traumas and to work towards healthier mindset and emotions as they are growing in independence and self-awareness. I have experience working with clients with a wide range of mental health issues, from anxiety to depression, trauma to attachment issues, relational issues to self-esteem issues. I also work with a therapy dog, Loki, who attends all sessions as emotional support.

As a clinician I tend to focus on building a genuine, warm and positive relationship. I believe that every person has within themselves the power to heal. I see my job as providing my client with a safe and supportive place for them to discover their own strengths. I use stories and metaphors in therapy to help the client discover deeper truths. I also use techniques from a counseling theory called Internal Family Systems and have had much success with it. I have experience treating depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, addiction and especially trauma.

Clients who are struggling but wanting to not only heal, but also grow have the potential for being extremely powerful people. We have all gone through difficult times, experiencing anxiety, fear, depression, and hopelessness. However, if we have healed, we look back and see those times as hard, but some of the most powerful in our lives. Hearts can become strong, marriages can be healed and become euphoric, and our families can become strong, powerful, and beautiful. I am open to helping any individual that needs help with a psychiatric diagnosis. I do not treat acute events that need detox but happy to help sustained sobriety. I am also happy to help with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, and many more.

I am passionate about supporting all stages of life. I am a birth and death doula with years of experience in the medical field supporting people through grief, infant loss, medical trauma, new diagnoses or end of life care. I feel privileged to witness the vulnerability of the postpartum period and love supporting parents through normal ups and downs or postpartum depression and mood disorders. Other experience includes adoption and foster care, working with people living with HIV, people who use drugs and survivors of sexual violence. As a member of the LGBTQIA community, I proudly serve individuals and families of all identities.
