My specializations include couples and marital counseling, individual therapy, behavioral health (i.e., the mind-body connection), mindfulness training, stress management, values/goals clarification, LGBT issues, and hypnosis. Understandably, clients want results that are both fast and lasting, so I tend to use some type of brief, solution-focused model in my work. I also have considerable experience utilizing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), a method that is both quick and effective for relationship/family/parenting problems, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, chronic pain, guilt, insomnia, medical impairments, work stress, anger/resentment, smoking addiction, and many other difficult issues.

I am also passionate about working with individuals that come from family traditions that may have caused them to shy away from therapy.

I have over 20 years of experience working with adults, adolescents and their families who are dealing with a variety of behavioral health, alcohol and drug abuse issues. My experience has shown me that by changing unhealthy patterns, expressing fears and concerns and taking gentle risks, it is possible to live a satisfying life regardless of what or how long your struggle. I use a combination of techniques depending on issues presented and we will work together on both short and long term goals.

Extensive counseling experience working in private practice with multicultural and socioeconomically diverse individuals, couples, and families. She has always been a "helper" since her youth. She has always had a passion for assisting others. Her friends and family have always confided in her and sought advice when faced with challenges and adversities. She has been a licensed professional counselor for 11 years, with a master’s degree in Counseling from Texas Southern University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have worked in private practice, university clinics, and hospital settings across the country including Lucille Packard Children's Stanford and Texas Children's Hospital. I have over 20 years experience working with kids, teens, and adults with a wide range of mental health and behavioral conditions. Including kids with ADHD, Autism, Learning DIsabilities, and Grief. I specialize in working with women with Post Partum Depression, Adoption, and Infertility, couples, and family counseling. I completed training with Bo's Place. I was awarded graduate fellowship in Distress Screening from Yale University .

I specialize in couples counseling and adult relationships. I have been doing couples work since 1977 and also have experience teaching graduate students in Marriage and Family Counseling. Courses included Separation, Divorce and Remarriage as well as Introduction to Marriage and Family Counseling. Previously I was Director of the Counseling Center at University of Houston where I had a staff of Psychologists and trained Psychologists.

Creating an empathy driven & compassion focused mental health & social service practice has been my dream since I was 16 years old. My own life experiences drove me into the field of Social Work & mental health to empower, motivate, uplift and elevate individuals, youth, and families. I have over 15 years of experience in Trauma-informed psychotherapy and/or social work practices with a demonstrated history of working in government, civic & social non-profit organizations.

She has experienced hospice and loss, & understands grief and suicide. Her years of experience is wide as she has worked with clients and their families about depression, anxiety, addiction, multi-cultural, multi-racial family and marital issues. She works well with adults and adolescents dealing with self esteem and communication issues.

In sessions, we will focus on the client's experience with depression, anxiety, fear, grief and loss, attention issues, behavioral concerns, family conflict, addictions & more. My therapeutic approach is catered to meet the needs of each client who is ready for a change & even a few who aren't there yet. I specialize in working with individuals whose thoughts or moods have created hurdles in their day-to-day life. Dr. Randall McIntyre has been practicing Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatry in the Austin area for over thirty years. He was raised in Midland, Texas. He holds a BA- in biology from The University of Texas - Austin, and an MD from The University of Texas Medical School-Houston. He did his internship in Family Practice at Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Subsequently, he completed residencies in General and Child Psychiatry at UTHSC-Houston. He is doubly Boarded in Child and Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
