I have been working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over ten years, and as a community social worker for fifteen years. My previous places of practice include domestic violence shelters, high schools, foster care agencies, and community health clinics. I enjoy working with teens and young adults as they navigate the pressures of becoming independent and the tensions that may occur throughout that process. I specialize in supporting clients with anxiety, chronic depression, issues with communicating, struggles with family of origin, relationship conflict, and feelings of being an “outsider.”

Jared Wilke, Psy.D., is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of California. He is currently practicing at Family Counseling Center, which has served the North County community in outpatient counseling for over 25 years. Dr. Wilke enjoys working with teenagers and young adults, their families, as well individuals and people seeking marital therapy. **Please note that currently for residents of Texas, I am only able to do appointments by video/phone. These options are also available for residents of California if needed or requested.

I’m a small town girl with a big town heart that is native to Nacogdoches and a proud Stephen F. Austin State University alumnus. I received my Bachelor of Social Work in 1998 & Master of Social Work in 2001. In 2003, I completed my clinical licensure (LCSW). From 2003 to 2020, I worked in various roles with hospice & long term care & being a Mom. During COVID, I faced many challenges that pushed me to reevaluate my career & what I wanted for my future- to combine my love of sports & counseling. In 2021, I became a Certified Sports Social Worker & was approved to serve on the US Olympic & Paralympic Mental Health Registry.

Anger, grief, confusion- all of these responses may come out of children, teens, and even adults by lashing out, throwing tantrums, making impulsive decisions, losing focus, and withdrawing from friends and family. Shannon Cantu M.S. is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the State of Texas. She received her degree at University of Walden, in Marriage, Family, and Couple’s Counseling, with a concentration in Trauma and Crisis. Shannon’s passion is working with couples, individuals, LGBTQ and adolescents in a variety of issues; anxiety, depression, relationship issues, infidelity, low self-esteem, PTSD, grief, domestic and sexual abuse. She believes in providing a safe and nonjudgmental space for her clients.

I enjoy working with children 15+, individuals, couples, and families. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of North Texas and a Masters of Marriage and Family Therapy from LeTourneau University.

I received my Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in marriage, couples, and family as well as a certification in play therapy from Sam Houston State University. I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Texas A&M University. I am Level 2 certified in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and am supervised by Marion Marold Vickerman LMFT-S.

Some of those include clinical intake, general counseling, marital counseling, crisis intervention, crisis management, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and child behavior management.

Robert White is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. He has more than 30 years of combined experience working in the criminal justice, mental health and addictions field. He has worked in a variety of clinical and mental health settings (to include corrections facilities and residential drug programs for adolescents and adults.
