Hello and welcome to my page! I believe that all individuals are capable of healing and growth with the help of an understanding, compassionate, and supportive therapist. Therapy is a vulnerable process and I strive to provide an environment where my client feels safe. I also believe that insight alone is not enough for change to occur and therefore I bring experiential work into the room, often engaging the body and somatic experience in our work. My approach to therapy integrates Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic Theory, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Experiential Therapy, and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP).

My work is informed by extensive experience in evidence based practices, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral therapies. In addition to receiving training at The Ackerman Institute for the Family, I have worked with families, couples, young adults and adolescents to resolve relationship, self esteem and emotional difficulties.

In terms of couples work, I help with communications, developing conflict resolution strategies, healing from infidelities, addiction/codependency, and other sexual issues by examining your familial/relational histories and teaching a variety of guideposts to help you be your best selves, together and individually.

Common statements that I hear are: "My parents expect so much from me and don't understand what I'm going through," "It's difficult to focus on relationships because of work deadlines," "Although money & sex are supposed to be pleasurable, they are causing difficulty in my relationships."

Wellness is a way of life and it starts from within. I strive to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment so that the challenging yet rewarding work of self-exploration can be done to aid in lasting change. My hope is that each person finds not only relief from the pressing concerns that may bring them to therapy such as anxiety, depression or stress; but also develops a greater capacity to self-reflect which can lead to deeper self-awareness and the ability to tolerate higher levels of distress.
