Many times we give ourselves permission to seek professional help when taking care of our bodies; regular check-ups to the family doctor, dentist, gynecologist, etc. The need to take care of our mental and emotional health is just as important, but we hesitate to do so with the stigma surrounding the label being considered "weak" or "crazy". The same permission to call a professional to care for our body is the same permission needed to call upon the professional assistance for the maintenance and longevity to our emotional/mental maturity. I would love the opportunity to work with you. I have lived in Las Vegas for 16 years. I completed my Master’s Degree in Social Work at UNLV. I have conducted therapy in many different settings and with different types of people. Clinically worked with children in trauma, in foster care and /or removed from home, teenagers, adults, couples and families. I have experience working in acute care with youth in residential treatment, as well as their families working toward goal setting and reunification. I have worked with clients experiencing trauma, depression, and anxiety, while maintaining a gentle and supportive approach.

A parent's needs often come last leaving them overwhelmed and feeling spread thin. Allow me to help you navigate parenting in this ever changing world. Perhaps you need new strategies to reach your adolescent or tools for successfully blending two families. After 14 years of experience as a special education teacher I easily build rapport with children and this connection provides me the opportunity to create positive change.

Therapy can help when life becomes overwhelming, when we are experiencing stressful transitions, when we are stuck and unable to move through hurts or injuries in relationships which once brought us love and security. If we feel sadness, fear, depression or anxiety which are preventing us from living the life we want or when unforeseen trauma, divorce, or family conflict adversely affect our children, therapy can help find ways to resolve the barriers to achieve a healthier outcome. My approach is gentle, empathetic but direct. I work with clients at their pace to discover the best outcome for themselves.
