My practice is science-informed and client-centered, meaning I tailor my approach to the specific needs of each individual person. Every one of my clients is treated with professionalism and extra doses of empathy and compassion. We are all human, after all! Even in difficult circumstances, I have been amazed and humbled by my client's ability to learn and grow.
Effective therapy involves learning adaptive ways of dealing with stressors, while also building on existing strengths, to create positive change. I have trained in evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Motivational Interviewing. I also use psychodynamic principles in my integrative care of clients.
I earned my Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from Pacific University. My clinical interests include helping those suffering with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, ADHD, and life transitions learn how to flourish through adversity. I also have extensive experience and training in treating children, adolescents, and their families.
