Having had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, spanning pre-teens through late teens, and have helped people experiencing anxiety, anger, family and relationship issues. My experience includes both school and clinical settings, and recognizing personal strengths, fostering trusting therapeutic relationships, and creating an accepting environment are at the core of my practice.

I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma and their families. I am trained in TBRI, certified in TF-CBT, and experienced with foster care and adoption struggles. I also have a passion for working with military service members and their families. I work hard to meet people where they are, from ages 3-55. I utilized play therapy, talk therapy, art therapy, individual, family and couples therapy. I am best suited to working with individuals who struggle with anxiety; depression; childhood trauma and issues related to being raised in a home with alcoholic parents or family members. I have experience working with parents who have children with disabilities. It can be difficult to be parenting a child with a mental illness or autism. I am person-centered in my approach. Hi! I'm Misty! I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and families! My typical client is between 3 and 26 years old and I use a variety of approaches to meet the needs of my clients. I am currently working on obtaining my registered play therapy (RPT) credential and utilize play, art, sandtray, and other expressive arts to make therapy fun for kids! I also will incorporate caregivers into the therapeutic process as needed so the healing can continue happening at home. For adolescents and young adults we can talk, or we can use some of the above techniques to help process. I also am experienced in EMDR and DBT modalities.
