With over a decade experience with working in counseling, I have the skills needed to address concerns ranging from depression and anxiety, family concerns, weight loss with a focus on coping skills and addictive traits, to marital problems from connection to affair recovery. I am dedicated to working with clients to maximize change and increase overall life satisfaction using a short-term mindset. I believe that everyone has hurdles in life, but we all possess the potential for fulfillment and happiness. Sometimes the small things make the biggest difference and the largest challenges are not so big in perspective. I believe that participating in counseling can provide that perspective and be a most remarkable and rewarding journey. The counseling process is not always easy and can be quite difficult. Realizing this, I always feel so honored when my clients are willing to include me on their journey. I have a strong belief in creating an non-judgmental environment where clients will feel comfortable with open expression of their thoughts and feelings. My focus is helping clients connect the physical and emotional components of healing. I am trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction which is an evidence-based practice that teaches clients to cope with pain, anxiety, sleep, stress, addiction, and depression. I have worked with individuals and families for over 9 years and have seen the physical toll that emotions can take on a person’s life. My hope is to guide my patients back to a healthier lifestyle through a combination of approaches. I believe that every individual is unique and will design each treatment plan according to the client’s goals.

When humans experience trauma, it is not uncommon for their lives to unravel. My great passion is bringing healing to people who have experienced trauma. I help my clients, who include children, adults and families, to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves.

I enjoy being able to assist those who are in need of finding a way out of the darkness. Also, my practice focuses on the study of substance abuse/addiction counseling. I have experience working with children and geriatric populations. Growing up watching my grandmother struggle daily with mental illness, I naturally grew to have a heart for helping other people. I have spent the last decade of my life in the helping community and I believe that it is my life’s purpose to help people actualize the life they wish to have. I explain my position as a therapist by saying this to my clients, “It’s not my job to fix you because you are not broken. It’s my job to help you see things in a different way that will help you to function better” I welcome you as clients to embark on this journey of healing.
