I work with children, teens, and adults, and I've become pretty good at engaging even the most reluctant. I really enjoy helping others find their identity and their comfortable space. I tend to work with anxiety disorders, trauma, and family conflict. Of course, what is trauma and conflict without stress, anger, and low moods? I've worked with pretty much everything, and helping people identify their needs, goals, and a direction is very satisfying.

I have over 30 years of experience working with individuals, adults, and families that have emotional distress and mental health issues. I have also worked in the foster care system with the Department of Children and Family Services and the court systems. Developing a supportive, understanding, and enriching relationship with those I've worked with over the past 13 years has given me the privilege and ability to help clients reach their goals for therapy. I work to nurture, assist, and motivate people to be their happiest selves. The adults, teens, children and families I see are facing a variety of challenges related to anxiety, depression, difficulties at school or work, divorce, grief and loss, family stress, and other life events.

Our life's work is helping clients achieve a better sense of self and happiness...more recently we've recognized that without good mental health providers, finding this balance in life can be more difficult and stressful. As a result, we tend toward an Integrative approach and help our clients transform into the people they want to be. We see each client as an individual with many parts to their identity. Utilizing a holistic and systemic approach we help clients reintegrate the parts of themselves to function better as individuals and within their systems. Our focus tends toward a systems based approach using behavior methods.

Cherry Hill Counseling is one of the longest-standing counseling practices in the Northwestern suburbs of Chicago. Cherry Hill has seven locations including: Lake Zurich, Vernon Hills, McHenry, Deer Park, Chicago, Grayslake, and Wheaton. I am a bilingual therapist providing individual, family, group, and couple's counseling in both English and Spanish. I enjoy working with a wide range of ages, and hold a special fondness for the adolescent and young adult population. Years of experience have prepared me for working with adolescent issues, parenting issues, and mood disorders.
