I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years experience working with Adults, Teens, Children, and Families to address a variety of issues. My specialty areas of focus are Child and Adolescents, Family Conflict, ADHD in children and adults, PTSD, Traumatic Events, Grief, Anxiety, Depression and Parenting. I am a non-traditional and creative therapist that incorporates a number of techniques and am respected in the field and by my clients for my unique and straightforward approach to engagement and treatment.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am extensively trained to work with individuals of every age and stage of development, along with additional specialized training for couples and families. I apply a systemic perspective and strength-based and resilience approach with clients, while blending evidence-based theory into practice. I graduated from Adler University with a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and hold a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Illinois and Oregon. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with individuals, families, couples, adolescents, and children on a wide range of issues. These include anxiety, depression, communication, conflict resolution, emotional regulation, Autism spectrum disorder, trauma, and life transitions. My approach to therapy is rooted in the belief that true change occurs by focusing our energy on building the new rather than fighting the old.

I am a licensed clinical social worker with experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. I specialize in treating children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, school-related issues, and other behavioral challenges. I utilize a strengths-based relational therapy approach while incorporating other treatment modalities such as behaviorism, play therapy, art therapy and family systems therapies. This integrative approach allows my clients to make sense of their reality while also developing plans and coping tools that will help them achieve and maintain their goals.

I believe that we all have some area of our lives that we would like to change. My passion is to walk with individuals who want or need this change. I'm an experienced psychotherapist working with adolescents and their families dealing with depression, anxiety, self-injury, substance use, school anxiety and school refusal, hallucinations, suicidal ideation, family conflict and more. While my background and passion is adolescent, family and young adult mental health counseling, I am also experienced with adults in all life stages. Mindfulness is a way of life for Heather and it helped her develop her identity as a therapist. Heather now identifies as a contextual behavioral therapist using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) interventions/skills and an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach to intervene with her guests. She has one criteria for her guests: Willingness. Guests experience her as someone who teaches skills and helps them set attainable goals. Heather believes all people inherently have everything they need to move forward in their lives. She likes to help them find what they need and use it.

Annette has been speaking, consulting and educating in the realms of Psychology for over 20 years. She is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC)). Annette holds two Master Degrees from Loyola University Chicago, in Pastoral Studies and Counseling. Annette is trained in the Enneagram System and in Internal Family Systems. She spent nine years in pastoral ministry in both parish and university settings, and has worked in the mental health field within community mental health, hospital and private practice settings for more than 25 years.
