I am passionate about helping people from all walks of life. I believe that counseling is best done within a relationship built on trust and collaboration. I want to get to know you, your story, and what you want from counseling. From there begins a collaborative process with clients to outline a treatment plan and create manageable goals.

Kristin received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Point Loma Nazarene University and her master’s degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. Kristin recently moved to Idaho and loves exploring her new home. Kristin has developed skills in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care. Kristin focuses on client’s strengths and empowering them to reach their goals. She prioritized building rapport and creating a space that is safe and judgement-free.

I specialize in working with trauma. While I have a particular focus on working with issues around sex, sexuality and gender, and religious trauma, I work with trauma of all kinds. I believe that our behaviors, thoughts, physical sensations, worldviews, and ways of being are parts of us that all have stories, waiting to be heard and explored if they are given the opportunity. Giving these parts of us care and attention builds our emotional intelligence, essential to improving not only our lives, but also the lives of those around us in our close relationships and communities.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker, I understand the importance of creating a safe and non-judgmental space for you to heal. I attained my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and minor in family studies from Boise State University. I specialize in issues found within intimate relationships and trauma. My experience in behavioral health, and on going education enables me to offer effective outpatient, individualized, psychological care.
