Marissa is Restorative Counseling’s resident couples and family therapist and is passionate about helping her clients’ relationships become healthy and strong. This adult DBT Group meets weekly in our Buckhead office. Men and women alike gain skills across all 4 modules of Dialectical Behavior Therapy: Distress Tolerance Skills, Emotion Regulation Skills, Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills, and Mindfulness Skills. Group members learn how to live in the present moment, find healthy ways to handle worry and stress, appropriately regulate emotions, and improve interpersonal relationships . DBT skills are powerful tools because they help us relate and respond to emotions and situations more effectively. You will learn concrete skills that you can apply outside of the group to reach your emotional, social, and physical goals.
