Sometimes life is just too hard or stressful to manage by yourself. It can be a relief to talk with someone who can help you work through your stress, to hear other perspectives and to help to make adjustments to face life's challenges. I believe that a trusting and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship, in a warm and safe environment, can be essential to confronting and overcoming life's difficulties.
My specialties include adolescent/family issues and conflicts, depression, anxiety, relationship and grief issues, as well as school motivational issues. I use an individualized approach, with a mix of cognitive, behavioral, psychodynamic, family and supportive therapy, all depending on the client's needs.
I work collaboratively with clients to identify goals and positive behavior patterns, and let go of or modify negative ones. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in different settings. For the last 11 years I have worked as a clinical therapist at a school-based health center.
