I am an EMDR trained therapist specializing in treating trauma, issues with self-esteem, shame, anxiety, faith transitions/religious deconstruction, coming out and gender exploration/transition and more. I also frequently work with couples experiencing unhealthy cycles, family conflict, difficulties in sexual desire and healing from infidelity. I believe counseling is all about finding yourself and understanding how to authentically connect in your relationships.

Licensed in both Colorado and Florida. I recognize the struggle of modern parenthood, and the solitude in which many parents find themselves. It is difficult to be the whole village raising children. There is also a sense of putting the needs of children and family before yourself, losing your identity in the process. I aim to help parents balance their identity and needs with the needs of their families.

How we experience mental health concerns is reliant on several variables. One of the ones that is our overall health. Have we been diagnosed with a chronic or terminal illness? It is not just how we “feel” about our illness; it is also how our body is reacting to our illness or healing. Another variable is family history and dynamics. What has been our family history with both mental and physical health? What is my role with my family? These are only a few examples of topics to consider. Lastly, another variable is my perception of self. It is not a question of how I see my behavior, but it is a matter of what is my “why” in life.
