My practice centers on themes of human lifespan development and attachment. I work with: 1) Couples, from an attachment/emotion-focused approach; 2) Individual adults, to engage life-level issues such as family and partner relationships, long-term personal goals, and divorce and other major transitions. 3) Parents, to address family dynamics with children, including blended and adoptive families (unlike traditional family therapy involving the entire family, my approach engages with parents as a consultant and coach). 4) College students, regarding academic and vocational challenges, and individuation from family and parents.
I’m deeply curious about you and happy to share whatever I have learned about the human mind and attachment psychology. I'm cynical but idealistic; thoughtful and reflective but also irreverent, down-to-earth, and always up for a joke. I try to balance abstraction with pragmatism, and I’m also curious, open-minded, and forthcoming about sex and sexuality.
I work remotely by phone or video with clients anywhere in Colorado. I operate on a fee-for-service basis and do not accept third-party payment, but am willing to discuss payment arrangements on a case-by-case basis. I'm also happy to consult briefly at no cost to you to determine if we are a good fit.
