Utilizing EMDR & other approaches, I work with individuals who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, and those going through life transitions looking for change. Because healing and growth occur interpersonally, therapy can be an impactful addition to one's life during difficult and challenging times. Using EMDR to target the root causes of anxiety & depression has truly changed the lives of so many clients, more so than any other therapeutic approach I've worked with. Clients are able to experience a significant reduction in symptoms early on. I am extremely personable, and like to laugh with clients as a way to offset the heaviness of difficult sessions
Specific focuses include working with: (1) adults who have experienced attachment trauma (e.g., parent with a mental illness, early childhood trauma including neglect and abuse), and (2) adolescents who are experiencing anxiety and/or depression, with symptoms exacerbated by the pandemic, social media, and/or academic pressure.
