Welcome! I absolutely love my job, and I am so passionate about helping others in whatever way I can. One of those ways that I feel I can help, is by providing therapy for individuals, couples, and families. I have extensive experience working with interracial couples and people from all over the world. I have been providing therapy services for 14 years. I am licensed in CA, WA, and HI.

I have lived and worked in Hawaii for over 30 years, first working on Kauai, and for the past 25 years on Oahu. I am the first clinically licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State. I specialize in relationship counseling, but have significant experience and expertise in helping those with depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, and parent-adolescent issues. I see individuals, couples, and families in treatment. I am a teacher and supervisor of those studying to become marriage and family therapists. I teach Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Hawaii.

Ideally, therapy has been shown to have the best outcomes when you feel like your therapist gets you. Therapy is a relationship, rather than a set of instructions. My approach is warm, interactive, practical, and empathic, and I draw from relational, feminist, trauma-informed, anti-racist treatment models. I believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship, along with helping you contextualize your life experiences, honoring your expertise in your own life.

I work at a local non-profit agency, as the State Multisystemic Therapy Expert, where I am responsible for ensuring program adherence to the MST model, an evidenced-based practice provided to families of Hawaii. I am a few months away from completing my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and work in private practice mainly with active military and their dependents conducting individual, couples, and family therapy.
