My primary focus in private practice is evaluation and assessment for a variety of psychological conditions, such as ADHD, Autism, Mood Disorders, Learning Disabilities and Personality Disorders. The second focus I have is treatment. I have an integrative approach to therapy in which I use multiple modalities that fit my clients’ individual needs. Some of the modalities I use are interpersonal therapy, supportive therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I also view other factors that can affect the client, such as cultural, medical, and environmental factors.

I have worked in the field of addiction treatment for over 15 years and have extensive experience in interventions, detox support, residential treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, life coaching, owning and managing sober living homes, working with the mentally ill, criminal justice and the homeless population. I have amplified love and passion for those who suffer from the disease of addiction. I am currently CADC II and pursuing a BA in Sociology and a MA in Psychology.

My passion is serving those in SLO community and promoting meaningful change and healing in the individuals I treat. As a depth oriented psychotherapist, I see therapy as a way to understand ourselves and our souls more deeply. We get curious about the unseen forces driving us using intuition and creativity. Some of the modalities we might use include Mindfulness, Breathwork, Somatic i.e. body awareness, Art Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy.

This prompt says to "Imagine your ideal client." That seems...off. To imagine an "ideal client" would set us up for failure. Any client is an ideal client. You are an ideal client. Therapy is a conversation. But not polite conversation. You can go anywhere for that. Therapy is a real conversation. Let's get real. Or virtual - I also offer videoconferencing / telehealth services via a secure program (VSee). It's been great because busy people still get the help they want and it's just as effective as in-person therapy.

At times we find ourselves struggling with an issue or relationship and are unsure of what to do next. Together, we can work to explore deeper stories about ourselves and others that can lead to new paths forward. Though the journey can be difficult at times, you do not have to navigate it alone.

As an EMDR trained, faith-based therapist, I help individuals and families heal and grow and thrive - and am honored to take part in others’ journeys toward wellness.
