I specialize in working with children and their families, ranging from children with behavioral problems, anxiety, parent-child conflict, and other mental health concerns to those who have experienced trauma (abuse, neglect, divorce, betrayal, etc). I help couples work on their own relationship to improve the family environment and functioning of children.
I combine individual, family, couple, and parent consultation sessions to address the individual and relational context of the presenting problem. I utilize play (the language of children) to help them "talk" about their feelings and concerns.
I view parents as collaborators in therapeutic work. Parents are the key to long-lasting security and emotional health of children. I admire the bravery and foresight of parents who are not ashamed to seek help early when their children are struggling.
