I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology also from Colorado Christian University.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC; # 5267) with over 20 years of psychotherapy and counseling experience. My goal-my privilege-as a therapist is to help people improve ways of thinking, feeling, and doing - three dimensions that cannot be neglected in therapy. And, because no "one" counseling approach is sufficient to explain all facets of human experience, I employ a variety of orientations including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, family systems, solution-focused, spiritual, and neuroscientific approaches - which I'll gladly discuss more in-depth upon request.

I am a man of faith, a motorcycle rider, a runner, a reader, and one or two other things outside of counseling, just in case we still haven't connected. In counseling and support groups, I’ve spent most of my time helping people face addictions, trauma, and all the relationships in between. I often rely on the AASAT addiction training and EMDR to help people move towards their change.

Navigating change can be frustrating and scary. I offer a safe, non-judgmental environment to discuss life transitions including: conflict, job adjustments, medical concerns, and grief and trauma. My goal is to help clients decrease suffering through a strong therapeutic relationship. I came to the mental health field to support children and families with neurodevelopment differences, i.e. Aspergers, ADHD, Learning Differences. Since then my work has evolved to understand how trauma impacts individual perspectives. I utilize an eclectic range of techniques to give clients a different way to understand their "truth".
