I am a nationally certified counselor and a licensed professional counselor with 15 years of experience counseling individuals of all ages. My experience includes, but is not limited to: depression, anxiety, family conflict, trauma, addiction and working with expecting and new mothers. I also have experience and specific training in working with infertility and loss in pregnancy. I enjoy focusing on and implementing self compassion in my clients' lives. Together we will build a treatment plan and implement certain strategies to achieve your goals.

My ideal client is someone who is willing. Sometimes we have tried every tactic in our toolbelt. We have prayed, meditated, read the self help books, and asked for advice, but the problem still feels immovable. The depression is thick, the hopelessness unending. Maybe the anxiety feels it is driving your life. I have a trauma focus, and would love to help you discover how you got where you are. I would love to hear each and every part of your story, help you heal from the roots up. I understand you may not know where to start. I work with individuals, couples and families on a variety of mental health issues, including but not limited to stress, anxiety, mood, addiction, trauma, interpersonal struggles, family conflict, grief/loss, self-esteem, finding meaning and purpose, and challenges adjusting to major life transitions.

I have 34 years of experience in mental health psychotherapy, so my practice is varied with Individual , group, couple and family sessions. I also do supervision and consultation. I am an adjunct professor at Tulane School of Social Work. I work out of an object relations perspective doing both short and long term work. I have experience working with trauma, depression, anxiety, and relational issues. I also have worked on the licensing Board in Louisiana.

Life is difficult. And for various reasons--pride, fear and procrastination among them--we as humans don't always readily reach out for help. There are many ways to reach out. Some do it through talking to family members or clergy. Some through friends or support groups. And sometimes the problems we are dealing with go away by themselves. But not usually.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, and a licensed addiction counselor with over 20 years experience. Life can present many challenges, and how we handle these adversities is the key to who we become and our success. Seeking professional help is the first step to change. Through the years, I have worked with both male and female clients ranging in age from 16 to 85. I have extensive training in substance abuse and co-dependency and over the last ten years enjoyed working with the elderly and their families addressing end of life issues along with dementia.

Life has a tendency to create difficult moments for all of us. As these moments enter our world we have to deal with them head on. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor presently working on my dissertation for a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Louisiana at Monroe as well as a former graduate of Loyola University, Notre Dame Seminary and Our Lady of Holy Cross College.

She primarily works with children ages 10-15 with various modalities of therapy including, but not limited to play therapy, talk therapy, art therapy and music therapy and their family members. She also specializes in couples' and family therapy.

CARE Institute offers various programs including FREE and low-cost teletherapy. Our clinicians approach therapy from a holistic systems perspective to assist clients with learning skills to address life challenges. Clinicians at CARE offer a wide range of expertise to assist clients. Our licensed clinicians are marriage and family therapists (LMFT/PLMFT), professional mental health counselors (LPC/PLPC), and Registered Play Therapists. Our CARE for Y'ALL teletherapy program clinicians are marriage & family therapy graduate students from nationally accredited MFT programs.

I do individual and couples counseling and have a heavy focus on trauma, PTSD and how to cope with the symptoms. People with heavy trauma tend to search to know what it's like to be their authentic selves. I focus on understanding the individuals communication styles and how to best present them to the world and how to communicate with others. There is a heavy focus on reframing internal monologues and gaining coping skills to improve daily quality of life.

I am a Faith Based (Catholic/Christian) License Professional Counselor. Certified in Trauma, Grief and Loss that loves working with Adolescents, Couples, Families and Individuals since 2004. I strongly believe that through our life our experiences may leave deep wounds that stop us from being loved by others and giving love to others.
