I am a professor of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and I work exclusively with distressed couples. I prefer Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) because of its extraordinary (researched and documented) improvement rate (90%) and its success rate of 73%. My ideal clients are mid/late life couples who are paralyzed in their relationship distance due to issues such as: infidelity, trauma, physical illness, financial or family stressors, or end of life issues. I am especially invested in assisting baby boomer couples who are dealing with major life transitions including retirement, dating, remarriage (edwardstonecounseling.com).
I love working with couples who sincerely want to save their marriage but are stuck/discouraged. My fee is $100 per hour and 60 or 90 minute sessions are available. I offer a 20% senior discount. I also supervise graduate MFT students at Lee University Counseling Center in Cleveland (423-614-8112). The fee for a student counselor is $20.
