I use an integrative approach to therapy to help people harness adaptive parts of themselves in the service of letting go of unhelpful, self-destructive, and repetitive behaviors and achieving relief, happiness, and lasting change. This occurs within a collaborative, empowering, and respectful relationship between us that involves authentic compassion, warmth, transparency, and nonjudgment.
I have experience helping people with a broad range of concerns. I honor differences and have worked with people whose contexts reflect diversity in its many forms. Trauma, relationship difficulties, depression, grief, anxiety, family-of-origin issues, identity development, and stress management are particular areas of focus in my practice.
Part of what makes my work effective is my ability to connect with my clients. I do this by bringing my authentic self into therapy and staying attuned to my clients. Throughout, I keep my work grounded in approaches and techniques that are sound and guided by the current literature.
