I enjoy working with both couples and individuals. Couples therapy can consist of troubles with communication, sex therapy concerns such as education, dysfunctions, lack of desire/interest, pain in sexual activity, medication side effects, and anxiety/depression related to sexual issues, post-affair recovery, and relationship conflict across the lifespan. I also work with those struggling with depression, anxiety, relational problems, including family systems. Starting this journey can feel awkward at first, but I am here to provide a safe environment for you to process and address a variety of your concerns.

Hello! I received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Regis University with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2008. I have experience in cultural stress, women's issues, marital/pre-marital, life transitions, and anxiety. My approach utilizes Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Narrative, Dialectical (DBT), and Family Systems therapies. I am passionate about increasing the accessibility of mental health services in marginalized communities and providing culturally competent mental health care.

I am passionate about helping clients navigate through life’s challenges. I believe that every person is capable of growth and self-discovery and worthy of being respected as a unique individual. My integrative approach is strength-based and person-centered, drawing techniques from various modalities including that of Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral Theory. I continue to educate myself on the most current and effective treatment methods in order to adapt techniques to each individual.

I believe in a trusting therapeutic relationship to create change. Then we design, create and assemble a toolbox filled with interests, experiences, successes, skills, and reminders to handle the unexpected and difficult parts of life. Since working with children, adolescents, adults, parents and families for over 20 years, my specialties focus on social skills development, interpersonal relationships, verbal and nonverbal communication, as well as understanding and identifying client strengths, beliefs, and passions so that they may gain a toolbox that works for them.

We are a trauma informed agency that specializes in treating trauma survivors which is ANY event that is difficult to cope with. This can be sexual trauma, or physical and emotional (neglect or abandonment, etc.) abuse, spiritual abuse, or life changes (divorce, empty nesters, loss of a loved one, etc.).
