I have experience working with children, adolescents, couples, single parents, and the elderly. I also have experience that includes, but is not limited to, grief and loss, domestic violence, substance abuse, and career counseling. I prefer to use the humanistic and strengths-based approach but can change the therapy approach to fit your needs.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate, I have specialized training working with individuals, couples, and families. As a veteran, I provide additional personal knowledge and support to veterans, active duty military personnel, and military families. The clients I see often prefer a non pharmaceutical route to help with things like depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, or other brain/mental health issues. Others seek help with transitions in their lives or relationship issues at home or work. All clients can benefit from my integrative holistic approach that melds counseling, wellbeing and brain health coaching. My clients ultimate goal is to feel and function at their best to enjoy a future with increased vitality, health and wellbeing and safe satisfying relationships. My methods are often effective for stress management and improving communication/ relationship skills.

My experience as a therapist allows me to connect with a variety of people from all walks of life, including teenagers, athletes, couples, and families. I am a former educator and coach (soccer) specializing in high performance and athletic coaching. I have additional experience working with first responders, collegiate athletes, military and veterans.

I'd love to help you learn new ways to relate to others, care for yourself better, and overcome past pain, in order to have a healthier more peaceful life. Often past trauma, abandonment, addiction, affairs, and loss can leave us feeling hurt and lonely. I offer both traditional and Christian-based counseling, and would be honored to be a part of your journey. I specialize in couples work and have a passion for increasing connection and better communication. I also work with individuals ages 18 and up on past trauma, depression, anxiety, life changes and offer help getting out of destructive patterns and abusive relationships.

I enjoy working with people who are interested in exploring their story. Often we face struggle and trauma in our life that cause us to behave in certain ways. My clients are often asking themselves why they behave in a certain way even if it is not working for them. They are curious about how past hurts and struggles may still be impacting them to this day.

My passion is to help all parents create an environment where their kids, whether adopted or biological, with developmental trauma can thrive. I have many years of experience working with traumatized kids and providing support for the parents that love them. I look forward to developing a trusting relationship where we can work together to draw on your own skills, strengths, and abilities to overcome life’s challenges.
