When it comes to children my approach is to collaborate with parents to best identify what coping tools and skillset are needed. When appropriate I follow a family systems approach and incorporate working with multiple family members at once, such as in family conflict or sibling rivalry.
My education and my areas of experience and expertise include Eating Disorders, ADHD/ADD, behavior issues at home/school, depression, and anxiety.
My own past personal struggles and vast years of clinical experience have prepared me to fully understand individual patients needs without judgement. After 20 years of experience as a therapist, wife and mother it is very likely that I have successfully worked with other clients with similiar issues or experienced it personally within my own family.
