When I work with a client, my hope is that the individual will experience a sense of understanding and hopefulness for change in their present situation. I believe that when an individual feels that the clinician is truly invested in "walking with" the "whole person" on their journey, the client will gain a new perspective on their movement in life. When I see individuals who are struggling with anxiety and/or depression, relational concerns, life stressors, and/or loss and transition issues, my main focus is to support the client in developing a hopefulness that positive change is possible.
As a "systemically trained" therapist, I enter the therapeutic relationship within a contextual lense. In seeking to ask the "wise questions", we uncover one's wisdom and plant seeds for change. My first book, "Take-Aways: A Little Book of Reflections" was inspired by amazing individuals who asked those very questions leading toward self- discovery.
Within practice, I provide Individual, Couples and Family Counseling. As an added specialty to practice, I offer EMDR Treatment for those who have encountered painful traumas or significant loss. I also offer Group Sessions for those who have experienced Loss as well as Groups for Adult Men and Women struggling with anxiety and panic.
