I'm Conor, a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience in working in mental health in the Erie area since 2007. I've dedicated my career to helping individuals like you find hope, healing, and resilience through various life transitions and adversities.

I have 16 years of experience providing outpatient treatment for individuals of all ages. I specialize in a variety of issues including sexual, physical and emotional abuse, PTSD, LGBTQ+, sexual disorders, depression, anxiety and personality disorders. I have worked previously as a counselor at Safe Harbor Behavioral Health. Previous to Safe Harbor, I worked for Family Services in the Community Abuse Response Team where I counseled both adult and child survivors of sexual abuse.

Dr. Larry Joe Pugel, Ph.D. is a Licensed Professional Counselor with board certification in: clinical hypnosis. He received his B.S. Degree from Colorado State University in 1969, sociology-anthropology, M.S. Pepperdine University, 1977 in special education-psychology, Ph.D. clinical counseling and psychotherapy, Union Institute and University 1993. Dr. Pugel specializes in the treatment of mental, emotional and adjustment disorders in adults, children, adolescents and couples. He provides individual, couples, family and marital counseling.

I offer counseling and psychotherapy to individuals and families. I have worked with a wide range of issues and people in a variety of settings. My therapeutic approach may differ somewhat with each client depending on their personality and what is agreed upon in our initial setting. I lean toward the client centered approach which allows the client to pace the sessions with what they are most comfortable dealing with first. Depending on the needs of the client I often focus on interpersonal interactions, cognitive change and behavioral techniques. The approach is a collaborative decision discussed during the initial session.

I work with clients ages 6 years throughout adulthood, experiencing complications due to ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, substance abuse, self esteem, life transitions, trauma due to abuse/violence, confidence, relationships and communication problems along with behavior disorders,. I assist clients in finding their strengths, along with creative techniques to teach them how to use it to build their life worth living.
