Throughout life, people face various obstacles. These obstacles may feel overwhelming and sometimes, insurmountable. Working with a therapist who is a good fit is a magnificent strength to help during these times. I work to create a safe environment to foster development of healthy communication skills and emphasize how to utilize support systems and healthy coping skills. I have experience working with adolescents in a school setting, in day treatment, in group therapy, and in an outpatient individual treatment setting. I have also worked with adults in a day treatment setting in addition to outpatient therapy.
I provide individual and family therapy for adolescents and adults (Ages 13+). My areas of interest are helping those suffering from depression, anxiety, panic, trauma, chemical dependency/abuse, stress management, self-exploration, life transitions, family conflict, parenting skills and more. I utilize CBT, DBT and mindfulness techniques throughout my practice.
In my practice, I like to use humor and solution-focused techniques. I usually present with a calm demeanor and am a good listener. I like to help client's identify patterns in order to increase awareness of their behavior.
