I believe that people need a therapist who has the ability to understand their experience. Once a person has the experience of being understood, a foundation is established to work through more vulnerable and difficult material. It is this proces of establishing a safe and understanding experience and working through of material that allows the possibility of change and the realization of one's true self and potentials.
My strenghts lie in my ability to provide a safe and supportive experience to explore and work through, oftentimes, vulnerable issues that create barriers to a richer life. I have advanced post-graduate training in psychodynamic therapy that allows for deeper and more meaningful work and more lasting change.
My office is convieniently located in Edina on Highway 100. I have advanced experience working with adolescents and high risk-behaviors as well as training in couples therapy. In addition, as part of my practice I supervise developing therapists as part of their requirement for board licensure.
