I utilize a holistic approach to counseling and incorporate strategies that consider the whole person: emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I have been a Mental Health Counselor in Florida since 2011. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of West Florida in 2000 and a Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology from Troy State University in 2006. I have been working in the mental health profession for 23 years. My journey began in a local mental health agency working with individuals and families with severe and persistent mental illness as well as substance abuse and addiction issues. I have had the opportunity to assist many clients during their difficult transition along life's journey. I provide empathy, understanding, and resolution.

I have been a practicing counselor since 1994 and enjoy working with clients from age 6-106, although I do have a particular fondness for adolescents, especially the oppositional ones. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings and have helped my clients navigate the "rough waters" that they must travel through. I have worked with trauma, anxiety, depression, adolescent issues, and complex mental health issues. Growing up in a military family, I also have a fondness and appreciation for our military families and the unique challenges they face.

As an Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I love working with children, teenagers, and their families.
