I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist with twenty four years experience working with individuals, couples and families. My clients present with a range of issues and concerns including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma and relationship conflict. I particularly specialize in working with couples struggling with marital conflict and/or parenting concerns as well as helping young adults transition into adulthood.
I help clients expand their understanding of themselves and discover opportunities for growth, often in the context of their relationships and families. I focus on helping clients change destructive relationship patterns, choose healthier lifestyles, and engage in fulfilling relationships.
I have worked extensively with adolescents and families. Being a parent as well, I help families communicate in more positive and developmentally appropriate ways. This includes work with both step-parents and divorced parents. In addition to my clinical experience, I have travelled widely and incorporate my knowledge of different cultures into my work.
