I hold a Bachelor's in Family and Community Services and a Master's in Adult Education from East Carolina University, as well as a Master's of Social Work from North Carolina State University. Since 2005, I have focused on mental health and substance abuse, addressing anxiety, depression, sexual aggression, and substance use, with experience working with sexually adjudicated teens and students transitioning to college or careers.
My therapeutic orientation is primarily psychodynamic, enriched by elements of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). I am committed to tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each client.
