My name is Tonjesia Gilchrist and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I am empathetic and passionate about helping clients navigate life's stressors. As a Christian Counselor my hope is to encourage clients to identify and challenge limiting beliefs while incorporating faith into the therapeutic relationship. As an Army veteran I have a thorough knowledge of working with active-duty service members, veterans and their families around trauma.
I'm a firm believer that the counseling relationship involves both the training of the counselor and work with commitment on the part of the client. No one theory of counseling is suited for all situations; therefore, I prefer to utilize research-based counseling theories and techniques that fit the particular counseling situations and clients.
