My practice is devoted to working with adults, adolescents and couples to help them deal with difficulties in their relationships and in their personal lives. I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist, and I am continually honored and intrigued by being able to help people in their lives. I received my degrees (Summa Cum Laude) from Washington University, and my doctorate in Psychology is from CSPP. In addition to my years of work in private practice, my experience includes years of intensive supervised client counseling, and now I am a supervisor at a well established clinic, in addition to my practice.
I work by understanding what is currently hurting a person the most. Then, we can begin to explore patterns from the past and understand how these patterns drive our responses to people and events in the present; the road to personal healing and growth unfolds and positive change becomes possible.
My approach to therapy emphasizes collaborative exploration of the client's issues and relationships, yielding insight, empowerment, and the promise of a more fulfilling life. I believe therapy is most powerful when insights arise from within, driven by a quest for understanding guided by an experienced, caring, and perceptive therapist.
