I created Healing Haven Counseling Services for children, teens, young adults and adults who feel overwhelmed by trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm urges/suicidal ideation, and/or major life transitions. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling unsure where to start — and that’s okay. My approach is collaborative and supportive, offering both space to express yourself and gentle structure so sessions don’t feel intimidating or overwhelming.
As a trauma-focused therapist, I draw from an array of approaches such as person-centered therapy and CBT to create a comfortable environment while helping clients better understand their symptoms, build practical coping skills, strengthen self-worth, and process painful memories/experiences at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.
One of the biggest challenges in starting therapy is finding a therapist who feels like the right fit, which can be overwhelming. My goal is to make that process feel as smooth, supportive, and comfortable as possible — at your pace.
