About
My breadth of experience includes counseling adults, children/adolescence, families and couples addressing many issues including but not limited to grief and loss, trauma, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, attention deficit disorders, oppositional defiant disorders, self-esteem, communication issues, and relational conflicts. I enjoy working from a strength based, systemic approach utilizing assessments that gather information about individual's family of origin patterns and ways of interacting. This allows me to gain a better understanding of you and how best to help empower you to reach your goals.
I have been pursuing more specialized training and have completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and am actively utilizing these skills in my practice. I am a trained leader in The Seven Principles and Bringing Baby Home workshops. I am also a RYT 200 and have specialized training as a Certified Grief Yoga TM Instructor.
I would like to close with a quote from Dr. Brene Brown in regards to relationships: "I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship."
