Life is much more complicated than most of us expected! As a Christian, I share the same dilemmas as you. We are all looking for answers in a world full of obstacles. Counseling should be practical, so I meet my clients exactly where they are in their lives, but armed with my Christian perspective and 30+ years of experience working with adults and children. Counseling with me is warm and practical, and because I have enjoyed raising three children of my own, counseling is often fun. After all, as we Christians understand, love is at the core of most solutions.
I counsel from a model that is brief; focused on solutions, discouraging medication whenever possible. Practical help changing behaviors, discovering existing strengths and improving spiritual life. I devote a great deal of individual care to each client. Board-mandated counseling for physicians and other "healers", when personal problems impact practice.
I am one of a very few Approved Dual Supervisors of LPCi's and MFTa's in San Antonio for 30 years. Supervision model is Postmodern; I give a great deal of individual attention to each person, and assistance in job networking. Board-mandated or voluntary counseling for professionals (healers).
