We are all shaped by our family, our culture, and the larger society around us. The patterns we learn early in life become internalized as “parts” of ourselves. Our "inner critics," "people pleasers," and "productivity drivers" initially protect us or help us cope. But they can also come to limit us, as we grow and strive for individual purpose, meaningful connections, and a happy, authentic life. My approach is grounded in deep respect for your "parts." I bring curiosity and connection to them. As your "parts" begin to trust, they no longer need to stay in control. They make room for more peace and choice in how you live your life.
I bring over 20 years of combined academic, clinical, and personal experience to my practice. My approach is warm, collaborative, and active. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy.
I work with adolescents, adults, and elders navigating a broad range of concerns: anxiety, depression, codependency, trauma and narcissistic abuse recovery. I practice in-person in my Montclair, NJ based office and I’m licensed to provide teletherapy in over 40 states through PSYPact. "Second Saturday" is a two-hour workshop designed to help individuals understand their current situation and explore options for saving time, money and grief as they consider the divorce process.
