At any age or stage in life, difficulties along the way can cause positive parts of ourselves to get a little buried, blocked, or hidden. Using your own creative process, I aim to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that are courageous, caring, compassionate, curious, confident, calm, and connected. This process can be done individually, with couples, and in family sessions.

I have been working alongside children and families for 10+ years in the early childhood/elementary education field as a teacher and school counselor. I am passionate about providing safe spaces through play and other modalities to children and families who have been affected by trauma. I believe in empowering children and building a strong foundation of connection that is essential to the therapeutic process.

My ideal client is one who is sick and tired of being sick and tired. He or she has finally said "no more, it's time for help". Although substance use is my forte', I have worked with depression, anxiety, trauma and other mental health issues.

I work with the whole family in my private practice - individual, couples & families. I love helping families develop closer, healthy relationships and individuals to become strong and confident. As a seasoned Licensed Marital & Family Therapist I help couples who with better communication, how to resolve conflicts in a healthy manner and to reconnect and develop a closer relationship. I also do premarital counseling. As a LPC and a Clinical EFT Certified Practitioner I assist with strategies to deal with anxiety, stress, trauma, depression, grief and individual well being. I will tailor your therapy to fit your individual needs.

The main goal of my services is to offer specialized guidance to the community to help individuals understand & move through the process of grief. We all have events of loss throughout our lives...divorce, loss of finances, pets, loss of health, loss of loved ones through death. The services that I offer can help you to understand healthy ways to express your grief & heal your life.

Marilyn's strength lies in treating & supporting others attain their goals. With 21 years experience working with adults, families & children/adolescents in matters of depression, anxiety, Stress and life changes in general- all people naturally gravitate toward wellness & healing. Marilyn employs CBT, Brief solution focused, Eclectic treatment approaches. Also, Marilyn has been instructing parents on moving children from power struggles to cooperation & peace for 21 years. Available: Tue - Fri. 10AM to 6PM and Saturday by appointment. She looks forward to a short consultation to discern a good fit for a therapeutic relationship.
