I have a passion for working with children, adolescents, and parents. Although therapy will take place in my office, I believe that guiding parents on what they can do at home to help their child is important. I strive to give my clients the coping tools they need and can use daily to help regulate emotions which will ultimately help with their behaviors. I have a special certification in AutPlay Therapy. This play therapy and behavioral therapy approach is great for clients (3-18) that struggle with regulating emotions, social skills, anxiety, impulse control, behavioral concerns, bullying, depression, and education challenges.

I am accepting new supervisees for licensure in MS & TN, in addition to any EMDR trained therapist needing consultation or working towards certification. I believe in a tailored approach to meet clients where they are and work together to develop a road map for his or her journey through change. I specialize in using a combination of EMDR with mindfulness, Ego State Therapy, CBT/DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Expressive Art Therapy to assist clients in the healing process. I have experience working with dual-diagnosis population in both individual and group settings.

I am a Registered Play Therapist and Licensed Professional Counselor. Children often go through many difficult things and don't know how to cope in healthy ways. Their little minds struggle to communicate their needs, which can leave parents feeling lost and helpless. With over 25 years of experience working with children, I help guide them in understanding and communicating their feelings and needs. Through the use of Play Therapy I can help children and their families create healthier relationships, which can decrease the stress for the whole family.

I am skilled at helping trauma victims learn to "tell their story" in a safe and non-judgmental environment and guide them towards healing.
