I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Alabama, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia, a Board Certified Diplomate, and a Registered Play Therapist, and I hold multiple credentials. As a social worker, life coach, and trauma professional, I am here to help clients reach their goals of overcoming life challenges, growing in new ways, and helping develop new positive goals and ways of doing things. Additionally, I work with LGBTQ+ Clients on coming out, identity development, and gender identity issues. I provide a safe place for clients to explore the challenges facing them.

This quote speaks quite loudly to me because upon reflection, I find that Life has a way of interfering when I am busy doing something else. I have spent the better part of 25 years learning who I am and have willingly and sometimes unwillingly faced harsh realities I would not chose for anyone, much less myself. One of the most important things that has proven to be true for me, is that if I can find meaning in events that shattered my world or at the very least, shook it up, then my understanding and insight increased and I could find peace.

I specialize in Addictive Disorders and Marriage / Family Counseling for impaired professionals under contract with their licensing boards or professional health programs. I feel I am able to relate to my patients on a personal level. I have survived, grown and thrived many obstacles in my life. For this very reason, I believe God has called me to use my skills and experiences to help others. I have a solid professional and educational background beyond just personal experience. I am eclectic in my therapy approach. I am an Advanced Certified Relapse Prevention Specialist. The only one in south Alabama.

I believe that individuals are an expert on themselves and strive towards treating each patient with respect. I work with individuals who are suffering from a life stressors that result from relational, educational or occupational issues. I help patients learn to to live productive lives with a serious mental illness. I provide couples counseling to improve communication, build or restore trust. It is my hope to improve the quality of my patient's life through counseling.
