I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I've been working in mental health for 7 years. During this time I've worked with individuals and couples in private practice, as well as pediatrics, teens and adults in a hospital setting. The social injustices of the world initially drew me to the field of social work, and along this path I found my calling for working closely with people who've experienced complex trauma & adversity. When someone we care for is struggling with addiction (drugs/alcohol, sex, food, etc.), it can become a very unclear path. Pain, guilt, confusion, loss of trust, and communication, all create drastic changes in relationships which can leave us feeling hopeless, fearful, and defeated.
