I treat a broad range of issues among children through adults. I believe it is important to match a treatment approach with each individual's goals, personality, learning style, available supports, and core values. I also have a broad-based understanding of spirituality and contemplative approaches and am comfortable with integrating this into treatment when clients would like and as appropriate.
I help people discover the life each would like to live and how to create it. Children and adults bring their own strengths and challenges that both help and hinder them. I help them take hold of the life they want, whether this involves parenting, career, relationships, core values, spirituality or existential realities.
I have worked in psychotherapy and psycho education for over 20 years. I earned a Ph.D. at the University of Chicago where I combined my clinical and research interests through a NIMH Fellowship, focusing on psychotherapy effectiveneve. Recently, I have focused on how our use of attention can enrich our own well-being and relationships with others.
