I am passionate about working with people of all ages. My youngest client is 3 & my oldest is 80 years old. I treat adults, couples, co-parents, families, young adults, teens, tweens, & children. As a clinically licensed counselor, I treat a variety of mental health & family issues. I studied 2 yrs post masters to become an RPT (registered play therapist specializing in working with children) and an SATP-C (sexual addictions treatment provider - certified). I am passionate about working with people who have experienced depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, attachment issues, high conflict family work due to divorce, etc.

Life is unexpected and sometimes we struggle with finding our path. My goal in therapy is to work with my clients on being comfortable with vulnerability. I believe that consciously choosing to not hide your emotions or desires from others is key to healing and growth. In therapy I learn about and help my clients use their unique strengths to help them resolve current conflicts. I am working on certification in perinatal care and menopause. My focus is primarily assisting women experiencing depression and anxiety, but I also take male clients.

I am grateful to have been a part of helping so many individuals, couples, and blending families resolve their issues over the past 35 years. While the experience has honed my therapy skills, each new person or relationship is unique and requires exploring solutions that fit their individual personality.

I specialize in a few types of clients - Couples hanging on by a thread, men who are less than thrilled at the idea of attending therapy, and individuals that live under a constant state of frustration in life. As someone who has lived and survived all of these scenarios personally, I've have a ton of empathy and a box of tools ready for people motivated to achieve change. A void that allowed black and brown people to be left to find sometimes inadequate ways of dealing with real mental health issues. As you search you will find very few people that look like me that are in profession of mental health. This is unfortunate. Although my caseload is hugely diverse, what comforts my clients is I represent what in my field is lacking...a representative from a disenfranchised group of people helping to build up the individual, repairing relationships and making families whole.
